Why plumbers call us

The good jobs keep going to somebody else.

Some calls come from outside your service area. Others are for work you do not take on. When the schedule goes quiet, you need to know what changed and what to do next.

  • The emergency calls go to somebody else because they came up first.
  • Your service pages say nothing about the jobs you want more of.
  • Half the calls are for cities you do not drive to.
  • Two of your own pages are competing for the same search.
  • Work was steady, then it went quiet and nobody can say why.
  • The last company sent a report and none of it meant anything.

What we run

What marketing for plumbers includes

A plumber marketing agency runs the places new customers find a plumber: the Google Business Profile, the website's service and city pages, and paid search for emergency work. The work is planned around the jobs the company wants more of and the cities it drives to, and every call and form is tracked to its source so the next month's spend follows the work.

WHERE YOUR PLUMBERS DRIVE
A call from ninety minutes away is a loss, not a lead. We plan around how far your plumbers will drive for a job.
Where your plumbers go

Local search.

Your Google Business Profile, your service pages, and the technical issues that can make your site harder to find. The aim is to be the plumber people find for the work you do, across your service area. That includes how AI answers describe you when somebody asks for a plumber in your city.

WHEN WATER WILL NOT STOP

Your ad shows You pick up The truck rolls

Leaks and backups

Ads for plumbing calls.

Google Ads and Local Services Ads for the plumbing services you want to promote: repipes, water heaters, sewer lines, slab leaks, and emergency work. Campaign priorities follow the jobs you want and the capacity you have to take them.

A website owned by you. It answers the questions people ask before booking planned work and makes calling or requesting an estimate easy. You can see how that comes together in our web design service.

Your report

Reporting you can use.

Each month, you'll get a report showing what we worked on and the calls and form submissions we tracked. We break down where those inquiries came from, what each part of your marketing cost and which calls went unanswered. We'll also explain what's working and what we recommend changing, so you can see where your money is going and decide where to focus next.

Read more about the work on its own pages: SEO, AI search and AEO, and paid search.

The path

How we start and manage your plumber marketing

How long plumber marketing takes depends on your website, your competition and how many locations you have. The order of the steps doesn't change.

  1. Step 1: Review what is working.

We review your website, Business Profile, campaigns, and the inquiry records you have. That gives us the starting point for deciding what needs attention.

  2. Step 2: Fix the gaps.

We correct tracking, competing pages, incomplete profiles, and service-area gaps before adding new campaigns or content.

  3. Step 3: Build around the work you want.

We add service-area coverage, pages that answer the questions people have before they call, and campaigns for the jobs and areas you want to grow.

  4. Monthly

    Step 4: Review and adjust.

Each month we review results against the starting point, explain what changed, and decide where to focus next.

What plumber marketing cost depends on

Five things go into the price of your plumber marketing. Once we've reviewed your business, we put that price in writing and you decide from there.

  • How many locations. More locations mean more local search work, more site content, and more reporting, and each eligible location gets its own Business Profile.
  • How big the site is, and what shape it is in. A site that can be built on costs less than one that has to be replaced first.
  • How competitive your cities are. A city with three established plumbing companies and a city with thirty need different budgets to get the same result.
  • Whether you run Google Ads. You pay Google for the ads yourself. None of that spend passes through us, and we add no markup. Our management fee is a separate line on the quote.
  • How much is already working. If your website is in decent shape and you can already see where your inquiries come from, there's less to do and it costs less.

How to choose a marketing agency for your plumbing company

Ask these five questions before hiring any marketing provider, including us.

Five questions every marketing provider should be able to answer clearly.

These are the five gaps we find most often when we audit an account that came from another provider.

Can they tell you what happened last month, call by call?

Rankings, traffic, and impressions help explain changes in visibility. The report should also show the calls and forms that came in, where each one came from, and the decisions those results lead to.

Who owns the accounts

Do you own everything?

Before you sign, ask who owns the domain, website, ad accounts and tracking. The answer should be you. If the answer is anyone else, you are paying to build something you do not own.

Ad spend with Google Agency monthly fee

Are the ad spend and agency fee clearly separated?

You should be able to see exactly how much funded the ads and how much paid for their management. Without that breakdown, you cannot evaluate either investment.

This month's work

Can you see this month's work in writing?

You should be able to see exactly what is being done for you this month, as a clear list of deliverables. A written work list lets you check what you're paying for and spot any changes.

Flagged this month

Will they be open about what needs improvement?

Good reporting does more than highlight wins. It explains where performance fell short, what was learned, and what will be adjusted next.

First, check how much work your trucks can take.

If your phone already rings more than your trucks can handle, review capacity before adding demand. If the marketing workload can support a full-time role, an in-house hire is another option worth weighing.

Put the answers in writing.

Before you sign, the proposal should tell you who owns the accounts and how you're charged. It should also list each month's work and the reports you'll get. That gives you something concrete to check once the work begins.

An honest comparison

Three ways plumbers get marketed, side by side.

Plumbing companies usually grow through some mix of an agency, lead platforms, and referrals. Compare them by what you own, what you can measure, and what keeps working when the spending changes.

What to compareJAWC Buying leads Word of mouth only
Where the work comes from People searching for what you do, near you A lead the platform may also sell to other contractors People you already served
Who the customer thinks they called You. They found your name The platform. Your name is incidental You, and that is its strength
What you keep The site, the pages and the accounts stay yours It stops that day, with nothing left over Nothing changes, which is the point
The planned jobs Built deliberately, not hoped for Mostly urgent, mostly price shoppers Excellent, when it comes
Growing on purpose Add a city, add the pages, add the coverage Spend more, get more of the same Hard to speed up when you need to
What you can see Which service in which city generated business What you were charged Very little, honestly

Word of mouth is the best of these. It is just not something you can turn up when the van is empty.

More home service industries

We market other home service trades as well as plumbing.

Talk to the people marketing your plumbing company.

We have run marketing for local service businesses since 2011, with one in-house team based in the U.S.

  • The people on the first call run the account.

There is no handoff to an account manager. The person who planned your marketing is the one doing it, and the one you call with questions.

  • Built in-house, in the U.S.

Strategy, campaigns, pages and reporting are done by our own team, in our own office, for every client on every plan.

  • We tell you when to spend less.

If your crews are booked out, we say so and hold the budget. The goal is jobs your team can take.

Questions plumbing companies ask

Call us with a plumbing marketing question you do not see here. We will explain what the service covers.

Overhead view of a plumber's hands holding an adjustable wrench over an open socket set on a warm walnut floor, beside an opened sink cabinet

Your budget covers two things: the marketing work and any ad spend. We price the work separately from what Google charges, and we recommend a budget after reviewing your services, locations, competition, and what is already working.

Paid search can start producing inquiries soon after the campaigns go live. SEO takes longer, and how long depends on the site, its current visibility, and the local competition. We review the starting point before recommending a timeline.

No minimum term. We ask for 30 days' notice of any change.

You do. Domain, site, content, ad accounts and tracking are in your name. All of it stays in your name.

No. Google bills you directly for the ad spend and we do not mark it up. The management fee is quoted separately.

Start with the three places people look: your Google Business Profile, your website's service and city pages, and Google Ads or Local Services Ads for emergency work. Track every call and form back to its source so you can see which of the three is producing work in which city, then spend where the work is.

It depends on capacity. If your trucks are already full, fix tracking and capacity before buying demand. If the marketing workload would fill a full-time role, an in-house hire is worth comparing. An agency makes sense when you want the work run without hiring for it.

Access to your Google Business Profile, website, and ad accounts, your call and form records, and a short list of the jobs and cities you want more of. After that, a monthly call to review the report.

We check for overlap before quoting. If another client already covers the same services in the same cities, we tell you before you decide.

Yes. We work with plumbing companies across the country. The account does not need us to be in the same city.

  • Where you come up for emergency searches, city by city
  • Whether your profile makes calling you the obvious next step
