Your bid YOU CONTROL THIS
Your bid is part of how Google sets your ad position. It is the lever everybody else pulls too.
Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising puts you in front of people searching for what you sell. JAWC is a U.S. agency that manages Google Ads and Microsoft Ads for local service businesses and national brands. We track which campaigns bring in inquiries and what those inquiries cost, so we know where to increase spending and what needs fixing.
Your advertising budget and our management fee are quoted separately, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
If these sound familiar, your campaigns deserve a closer look. We review your search terms, targeting, landing pages, and tracking to see where your money is going and what needs attention.
Your PPC plan covers account structure, keywords, ads, landing pages, and tracking. How much of each you need depends on your market and your goals, and we show where paid search fits in marketing a home service business, marketing a law firm, and marketing a plumbing company. We run the campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads and keep adjusting them as costs, competition, and results change. Paid social ads are part of our social media service.
We organize your account around what you sell and where you want to grow.
We spend as much time turning searches off as turning them on.
The ad makes a promise. The page has to keep it, or the click is wasted. If that page does not exist yet, we build it. See what our web design covers.
See what your ads produced and what each inquiry cost, in plain English.
Our own team does all four, so you are not managing four vendors. The people who build your campaigns also cut the wasted searches, write the ads, and explain the numbers. See everything that runs alongside paid search
Google does not simply sell the top spot to the highest bidder. It also weighs how closely the keyword, the ad, and the landing page match the search. We go deeper on that last part in our guide to matching landing pages to your ads.
When those three agree, you can appear above an advertiser paying more per click. In most accounts we take over, the bids are not the problem.
Google weighs your bid and how relevant it judges the ad and landing page to be.
Google's Ad Rank explanationYour bid is part of how Google sets your ad position. It is the lever everybody else pulls too.
How closely the ad answers the search. We build tight ad groups so each search meets an ad written for it.
The page someone reaches after clicking. We match that page to what the ad promises.
We review the account, agree on the work, and set up tracking before increasing spend. Ads can serve within days. Useful decisions need enough search data to show which searches bring inquiries.
We look at what is running now, what it has cost and what it produced. If there is an existing account, you keep it. We work inside yours and do not start a new one.
We build the campaign structure, choose keywords, block unwanted searches, and prepare the ads and landing pages. Tracking is in place before spend grows, so we can count the inquiries behind budget decisions.
Once ads go live, we review the search terms and the tracked inquiries. We exclude searches that do not fit, and adjust bids, ads, or landing pages once there is enough data to decide.
Budget moves toward the campaigns producing work and away from the ones that do not. Your report shows the inquiries we can track by campaign, so we know where to increase spending and where to make changes.
Anyone can spend the budget. Spending it well is the job.
Clicks are the cost.
Inquiries are the point.
In the first quarter of 2026, a Southern California plumbing company booked 487 jobs across its marketing channels, with paid search bringing in nearly one-third of its inquiries.

While the paid campaign ran, the Business Profile and organic search brought in nearly half the inquiries for the quarter. Paid search brought another 30%.
How it fits together
The same Search campaign can show on Google Search, in Google Maps results, and in AI Overviews. The ad, the page it lands on, and the way to get in touch have to work in all three.
Look at your ad the way a customer sees it. Example: a local service business

Searches turned offThis monthThe searches removed after reviewing where the budget went.
We read the search term report every month. Your report names the searches turned off and what they had cost.
The account sits under your business, not under the provider's manager ID. Your proposal says in writing who has access to the account.
Yes. Two lines, both in writing before anything starts, and the report keeps them apart every month.
Your report shows the inquiries we can track by campaign: calls, forms, messages and bookings.
A straight answer names the case and puts it in writing: the landing pages and the searches your budget would buy, checked before spend.
An employee with time in the account and experience reading search term reports is a real option. If not, one team building the structure, cutting the waste, writing the ads and reading the numbers back to you covers more ground for the same attention.
Ads can be live within days, so there is no penalty for waiting.

Hire an agency, hire in-house, or do it yourself. The rows below show who does the work, what you get each month, and who owns the account in each case.
| What to compare | Hiring in-house | Doing it yourself | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | One marketer you employ | You, between other jobs | |
| Who you talk to | Your employee, directly | You, and only you | |
| What you get monthly | One person's version of the same list | Whatever time was left over | |
| Wasted search spend | Cut as often as they read the report | Easy to miss until the budget is gone | |
| Reporting | The report they build, in the tools you buy | The platform dashboard, read at midnight | |
| Who owns the account | Yours, if it was set up under your business | Yours | |
| Pricing | A salary, employment costs and the tools | Ad spend, plus your nights and weekends |
Whichever you choose, the account should be in your name and the report should show which searches produced inquiries.
Each month, you receive a plain-English report showing where the spend went, what changed, and the inquiries we can track. Ad spend and our management fee appear on separate lines.

Our management fee depends on how many campaigns you need and whether the pages your ads point to need work first.
Starts with your free visibility report.
Reviewing your ad account needs access, which we ask for before we recommend any paid work.
Sometimes the honest answer is no, and we will tell you so before you spend anything. If your landing pages are not ready, or the searches in your market are almost all price shoppers, ads will spend your money proving that faster than anything else.
When it is yes, it is for one of three reasons: you need work now and cannot wait six months, you are launching a service or a new area, or your search rankings already bring in work and you want ads running on top while they keep growing.
We sell paid search as the accelerator, never as the engine.
How our SEO service works
If you have a question we haven't answered here, give us a call. We'll explain your options and what you can expect.
It depends on how many services and cities you are targeting, how many other businesses advertise on those searches, and whether the landing pages need work first. We look at your ad account first, then put the work and the price in writing before anything starts. Ad spend and our management fee are always quoted and reported as two separate things.
PPC management is the ongoing work of deciding which searches your ad budget buys, and cutting the ones it should not. In practice that is four kinds of work every month. We keep the campaign structure tight, read the search term report and turn off the searches that spend without producing work, write and test ads against the pages they land on, and check that conversion tracking is still counting real inquiries. You get a plain-English summary of all of it.
Yes. Plenty of businesses start with paid search alone. It works best when the pages the ads land on are ready to take an inquiry, so we look at those pages before any money goes into ads. If they are going to waste the budget, we tell you that first, and you decide what gets fixed before the ads switch on.
Ad spend is the money that goes to the ad platform, Google or Microsoft, when somebody clicks. The management fee is what you pay us to decide where that money goes and to keep it from being wasted. They are separate lines on every report, and you keep control of the spend. Both are put in writing before anything starts, and neither changes without you seeing the new number first.
Most established businesses end up wanting both, because they behave differently. Ads put you in front of buyers within days and stop the day you stop paying, so the spend has to be repeated to keep the result. SEO takes months and then keeps working, so the work does not have to be bought again to keep the result. We go through which one fits your situation on the call, before you spend anything.
Ads can serve within days of getting access. Useful decisions take a few weeks, because we need enough search term data to see which searches produce inquiries and which only produce clicks. The first month is mostly subtraction, and that is what makes every month after it work harder.
Not always, and we will look before assuming. If competitors are bidding on your name, defend it: your own relevance for your own name is high, so the clicks cost little, and the alternative is letting a competitor rent the top of your own name. If nobody is bidding on it, that budget belongs on searches where you are not already winning. We answer this with your data.
Yes. We work inside an account you own, not one we rent to you. If we part ways, the campaigns, the history and the negative keyword lists stay with you, which is exactly the part that took months to build. Linking the account to our management tools does not take those assets away from you.
Our own team does the work. We are based in the U.S. and founder-run since 2011. The people you speak with are the people responsible for the account.
Facebook and Instagram ads run under our social media service. Google Ads and Microsoft Ads run under our PPC service. The two budgets never blur.
